Event Details

Speakers:

1) Dr. Winnie Mitullah, Associate Professor - Institute for Development Studies, University of Nairobi. Dr. Mitullah is a member of the Advisory Committee that produced the 2009 UN Global Report on Human Settlements: "Planning Sustainable Cities"

 2) Mark Seasons, Associate Dean of undergraduate studies - Faculty of Environment and Associate Professor - School of Planning, University of Waterloo. He is the author of Chapter 9 in the 2009 GRHS publication: 'Planning Sustainable Cities: Policy Directions.'

About the 2009 GRHS Report:

Planning Sustainable Cities reviews recent urban planning practices and approaches, discusses constraints and conflicts therein, and identifies innovative approaches that are more responsive to current challenges of urbanization. 

 

 Parking:

There are no parking facilities at Aga Khan Foundation Canada. Parking is available on Boteler street (seen on the map as the back of the Delegation of the Ismaili Imamat building) which is also the entrance to the building.
